We are sorry for any concern caused.

A violin bow usually consists of between 150 to 170 strands of hair, so if individual hairs become loose or tear, there is no need to have the violin bow re-haired, repaired or replaced right away.

This is a normal sign of wear and tear and should have no effect whatsoever on the playing characteristics of the bow.

Normally, with a violin bow it is fine to just tear off hairs that are ripped but if you need any advice on this or more than a few strands have snapped, please let us know and we would be happy to assist you further.
